My Digital Garden 🌿

A space for thoughts, projects, and connections

What I'm Doing Now

Learning to build websites by hand. Deliberately avoiding frameworks and focusing on understanding fundamentals.

Currently reading about cyberfeminist history and how technology communities form their own visual languages and codes.

This site is part of the small web—hand-coded, ad-free, tracking-free. If you know, you know. 💚

Growing Projects

These are works in progress. Digital gardens don't aim for perfection—they evolve.

  • This Website: Built with semantic HTML, CSS Grid, and vanilla JavaScript. No build tools, no tracking.
  • Web Accessibility Research: Understanding accessibility as justice, not just compliance.
  • Community Codes Project: Documenting how design signals who belongs.

Recent Thoughts

On Personal Websites: There's something radical about having a corner of the internet that's just yours. No algorithm. No engagement metrics. Just writing for whoever finds it.

On Learning to Code: The hardest part isn't syntax—it's giving yourself permission to not know things yet. Everyone starts somewhere.

On Web Communities: The best parts of the web are still made by people linking to other people's work. Webrings, blogrolls, link lists—these are how we find each other.
